I know in this digital era most people prefer to get digital files and then print them themselves, whether it be at home or somewhere else. That said, not all print quality is the same and I want your photos to look as great on paper as they do on your phone/computer monitor. So, here are a few things to keep in mind when deciding where to go for your prints.
When I edit your photos I do so on a monitor that I calibrate at least every other week. Which means the colors on my screen should be the colors that get printed... if you use a reputable printer that also calibrates regularly!
When you order from my website, the prints come from a professional printing company that color checks and then calibrates daily. Most local printers do not do that. Case-in-point, the picture of the photo attached here. In a pinch I had the photo on the right printed at Wal-Mart. I was so upset when I received it. I wasn't sure if my monitor was off and was showing the colors darker, thus blowing the color out or if it was Wal-Mart. So, I then I had it printed through my professional print company (the photo on the left) and it came to me looking just like I wanted it to!
So please remember, cheaper may not be better. You spent your time and money to get beautiful photos, get them printed so they look the way they were intended to look up on your walls!
